Raw Materials

Pulp:

The pulp is produced from wood (coniferea) or annual plants. We purchase our pulp mainly from the Czech Republic and Sweden. These countries practise highly modern forestry with special certification. That means that the reforestation is adapted to natural methods. Dueto this modern forestry the lasting use of the forest is guaranteed.

Water:

In paper making water is required in big quantities. That is the reason why we have closed our water circulation. This means, we use the water many timesbefore it is cleaned in our own biological wastewater treatment plant and finally returned to the regular water cycle.

Energy:

To continue the production process in the paper factory a high energy investment is necessary. We made a lot of investments in the past to save energy and money because energy is not only expensive, it is also a resource which is not always available. For example we installed in 1996 a combined steam and water gas turbine power station (KWK) on our own site using the energy produced in many ways, for example for power production and drying of papers as well as for heating our buildings.
